I hope I donít sound odd to write these thoughts to you. I read your messages from Canberra, the Australian capital city. I am curious or amused that so many of the messages give such precise detail about exact locations of individual birds. This would be unusual in similar Australian chat lines that tend to discuss more generalised information (bird behaviour, distribution, conservation issues, etc). Only teasing but it suggests to me that your birds donít know how to move around much......

Subject: [LACoBirds] Sage Thrasher in South-Central
Wed 10 Jan
Mid-morning today there was a Sage Thrasher at Augustus Hawkins Natural Park, corner of Slauson Ave and Compton Ave in south-central L.A. It was in the shrubby area along the east side of the park, and stayed generally opposite a black and yellow sign across the street that says "No Parking/Caution". It was frequently chased around by two mockingbirds.
