Also, just had (4:30pm) a large kettle of Swainson's (200+) and Turkey Vultures (100) over Eagle Rock heading west and low towards Griffith Park. Been hawkwatching from my house for years and only ever seen single Swainson's - not seen an actual mega kettle from here before. Very cool.

I just found the adult male Common Goldeneye found by others, I believe by Rod, earlier. Now I am looking for the female Common golden-eye (if I can convince myself to stop staring at the southern sky for more Swainson's Hawks). Of course, I did not bring my
camera with me because it might rain.
